U.S. Navy Marine Diesel Engineer | Sicklerville, NJ, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Support diesel engine propulsion systems and ship service diesel generators onboard Navy vessels.
  • Conduct ship visits for inspections and data collection.
  • Perform diesel engine calibration and governor control verification.
  • Troubleshoot diesel propulsion and generation systems.
  • Provide installation support for new system upgrades.
  • Assist with diesel engine data analysis, logistics development, project planning, and training support.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in diesel engine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; recent Maritime Academy graduates are preferred.
  • Shipboard experience is desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
