Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client located in Beaverton, OR who is looking for Senior Designer in Story Design.

Summary:
We are looking for someone who shares our drive and agility to explore the new, who is passionate and determined to create boundary-breaking experiences. You will help push the design team into a new era of design thinking, with a vision to elevate the immersive retail environments and experiences our studio crafts.

What you will work on:
* Supports and partners with Global Retail Senior Creative Director to lead retail experience creative direction, design direction, and design continuity
* Lead a design process of clear ideation. Focusing on strategy and exploration of architecture, environments, materiality, and use of the environment
* Ensures project goals and priorities align with retail store, brand, and business strategies (art and science)
* Encourage a studio that is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to design consumer experiences through architecture, materials, fixture, environment, experience and 3d mediums
* Directs the development of presentation materials that effectively communicate creative direction and design concepts to all levels of leadership and partners
* Collaborate with peers, design counterparts, internal partners and external partners to ensure feasibility of designs and functional needs are met
* Drives education and inspiration, sharing knowledge and exposure to current and future trends influencing the innovation of consumer experiences and technology
* Fosters innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork
* Leads design processes to ensure results, timelines and budgets are met
* Strong ability to work upstream, effectively elevate strategic concerns, assert influence in final outcomes
* You may travel 10% of the time

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Industrial, or Environmental Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
* Minimum of 10+ years of progressive, technically sophisticated design experience in architectural, experiential or brand design and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence
* Showed strength in managing a design project or studio in the delivery of progressively complex projects of scale, budget, and size
* Proven track record of good judgment and ability to contribute meaningfully to the determination of policy and strategy
* Proven track record of motivating teams, managing ambiguity, and effectively collaborating in decision-making
* Tried expert in applying and performing design skills, including concepting, drawing/sketching, architecture, ideation, color theory, materials, texture, and spatial design in scale, visual presentation development and space planning layouts
* Knowledge of and sensitivity to current trends in color, design, art, photography and experience design and their application to the athletic industry
* Expert oral and written communication and presentations skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations to senior management
* Ability to work cooperatively across streams and territories to share ideas and develop effective responses
* Proven ability to work in a constantly evolving, high-growth environment
* Positivity and eagerness to do great work in a team environment
* Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes
* Demonstrated expertise using computer design applications including Keynote, Miro, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, AR/VR and Adobe Creative Suite

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
