Job Description

Software Engineer II / III – Azure & .NET

Location: Wilmington, DE
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite
Contract Position

We are seeking multiple Software Engineer II and Software Engineer III professionals to design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong modern .NET development experience, Azure cloud implementation expertise, and experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools and techniques into the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.

  • Develop applications using .NET, C#, Angular and/or React, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure.

  • Build scalable, secure, and resilient Azure solutions.

  • Work with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Azure SQL, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Apply AI-assisted software engineering techniques using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Azure AI Foundry/OpenAI.

  • Utilize prompt engineering, AI-enabled testing, code generation, debugging, and developer productivity workflows.

  • Partner with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into production-ready technical solutions.

  • Implement automated testing, observability, security controls, and operational best practices throughout the SDLC.

  • Participate in code reviews, root-cause analysis, production support, modernization, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Software Engineer II

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.

Software Engineer III

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.

Core Technical Requirements

  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure cloud implementation experience.

  • .NET/C# application development.

  • Angular and/or React.

  • SQL Server.

  • APIs and application integrations.

  • Cloud-native application development.

  • AI-enabled application development.

  • CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.

For most openings, candidates must have an active Microsoft Azure certification above the Fundamentals level, such as:

  • Azure Developer Associate

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Azure AI Engineer Associate

  • DevOps Engineer Expert

  • Equivalent qualifying Microsoft Azure certification

Preferred

  • Financial services industry experience.

  • Cloud modernization experience.

Work Location

Candidates are expected to work from the Wilmington, Delaware office four days per week.

This is a hybrid position and candidates should be comfortable meeting the onsite requirement.
