Junior UX Content Writer

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit interface content including navigation, labels, buttons, forms, error messages, onboarding, notifications, help content, and other in-product copy.
• Create user-centered content that is clear, useful, accessible, and inclusive based on customer needs and research insights.
• Collaborate with UX designers from early concepts through implementation, contributing content that shapes flows and interaction patterns.
• Apply established voice, tone, terminology, and editorial standards to ensure consistency across digital products.
• Maintain reusable content patterns, guidelines, glossaries, and design-system documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with UX designers, product managers, researchers, developers, and other stakeholders to align content with customer and business needs.
• Participate in usability testing, content reviews, and design critiques to refine and improve content quality.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 0 2 years of experience, including internships, academic projects, freelance work, or related professional experience.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify information and write concise, customer-focused copy.
• Familiarity with UX writing, content design, accessibility, and inclusive language.
• Experience using Figma or similar collaborative product design tools is preferred.
• An online portfolio or work samples demonstrating writing, editing, content design, or problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, English, Journalism, UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience writing for websites, mobile apps, e-commerce, or other customer-facing digital experiences.
• Understanding of information architecture and interaction design.
• Familiarity with content standards, design systems, and editorial guidelines.
• Curiosity about customer behavior, language, and emerging content-design practices.
