Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Data Visualization Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, database querying, data manipulation, and query optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing interactive dashboards, transforming business requirements into effective visualizations, and ensuring optimal performance and data accuracy.
 
Key Responsibilities
Tableau Development & Visualization
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop.
  • Develop visually compelling and user-friendly data visualizations based on business requirements.
  • Create calculated fields, parameters, filters, dashboards, and interactive visualizations.
  • Connect Tableau to multiple data sources and develop appropriate data models for reporting.
  • Publish and manage Tableau workbooks and dashboards on Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud.
Database & Data Management
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, transformation, and manipulation.
  • Work with relational databases and multiple data sources to support reporting requirements.
  • Perform data validation and ensure accuracy and consistency of dashboards and reports.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance to improve Tableau dashboard performance.
  • Troubleshoot data source, extract, query, and dashboard performance issues.
Tableau Server / Cloud
  • Publish, schedule, manage, and maintain Tableau workbooks and data sources.
  • Support user access, permissions, and dashboard deployment across environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Tableau Server/Cloud performance and data refresh issues.
  • Follow Tableau development and governance best practices.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards and visualizations.
  • Prepare reporting documentation and support dashboard adoption.
  • Drive continuous improvement in visualization standards, dashboard usability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience in Tableau Desktop.
  • Experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud.
  • Strong SQL and database querying skills.
  • Experience with data manipulation and transformation.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Experience with SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
