IT Security Analyst

- Up to £500.00 per day (outside IR35)
We are seeking an IT Security Analyst to enhance our security team's operations. This role involves managing incident tickets, assisting with identity security, monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and handling vulnerability management. The IT Security Analyst will also contribute to governance, compliance, security project planning, and third-party supplier risk monitoring, helping us stay ahead of evolving threats.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage incident tickets efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with identity security and monitor systems continuously.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and manage vulnerability issues.
- Contribute to governance and compliance efforts and participate in security project planning.
- Monitor third-party supplier risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Use advanced security tools to detect, respond to, and mitigate threats.
- Perform deep-dive incident analysis and proactive threat hunting.
- Conduct vulnerability and web application assessments and manage remediation processes.
- Review systems for security gaps and define remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security systems and share knowledge.
- Implement vulnerability scans, onboard log sources to SOC/SIEM, and validate alerts.
- Ensure adherence to CIS Benchmarks, ISO27001, and NCSC Cyber Essentials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of current hands-on experience in managing:
- Microsoft O365 Exchange (AD Admin level)
- Microsoft security platforms (Entra AD, AD Admin level)
- CrowdStrike Falcon (Admin level)
- Proofpoint email protection suite (Admin level)
- Qualys VMDR (Admin level)
- Service Now (hands-on)
- Forti NMS (hands-on)
- CISSP or equivalent certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
