Job Description
We are seeking a Cable Technician with experience supporting structured cabling, fiber installations, and data center environments. This role is responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and documenting network infrastructure while supporting critical telecommunications and ISP operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in active data center environments.
What You'll Do
Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling
Perform rack-and-stack deployments for servers, switches, and network equipment
Install cable trays, ladder racks, fiber raceways, and supporting infrastructure
Complete fiber and copper patching activities in data centers and telecom rooms
Troubleshoot connectivity issues and verify network performance using testing equipment
Support equipment migrations, decommissions, and infrastructure upgrades
Maintain accurate cable labeling, documentation, and asset records
Follow all safety standards and customer site requirements
What You Bring
Experience with fiber optic installation, patching, and testing
Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling systems
Data center, telecommunications, or ISP experience
Knowledge of rack-and-stack deployments and cable management best practices
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards
Nice to Have
BICSI, FOA, OSHA 10, or OSHA 30 certifications
Experience in hyperscale or colocation data centers
Familiarity with ServiceNow, NetBox, or asset management platforms
Low-voltage electrical experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
