Job Description

Bellingham Technical College seeks a Senior Instructional Designer to lead competency-based education program development. You will partner with faculty to design accessible curricula, develop faculty training, support curriculum review, and use assessment data to improve teaching and learning. This grant-funded temporary position is scheduled to end September 30, 2031, and may end earlier if funding is discontinued.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement campus-wide faculty training for competency-based education.
Assist faculty with competency-based curriculum design and teaching strategies at course and program levels.
Design curricula using accessibility standards and inclusive-design practices.
Maintain curriculum design documentation and support curricular review and modification processes.
Track assessment data and develop tools to improve training and competency-based instruction.
Supervise the college's Instructional Designer and present reports or professional development sessions.
