Job description

Our client, an international bank with an established London project finance team, is hiring an Associate to lead day-to-day portfolio management across an EMEA infrastructure and energy book. You’ll report to the Head of Project Finance and also support origination when needed.

The Role

  1. Own the portfolio calendar, periodic reviews, annual reviews and credit and regulatory reporting (including ESG, ECA and Basel IV)
  2. Manage waivers, amendments, Watch List credits, provisions and restructurings, and prepare items for senior sign-off
  3. Manage your own share of the London portfolio and coordinate the portfolio work of Analysts
  4. Act as the main point of contact for clients, agents, lenders and internal Risk, Compliance and Operations teams
  5. Support new deals, refinancings and extensions through due diligence, credit applications and documentation review
  6. Track market trends and find refinancing and upsizing opportunities across the portfolio

About You

  1. Project finance portfolio management and/or execution experience in EMEA with a bank or fund
  2. Sector exposure to one or more of Renewables, Digital Infrastructure, Core Infrastructure or Green Mobility
  3. Strong credit analysis skills, including financial modelling, cashflow analysis and stressed credits
  4. Working knowledge of CDD/KYC and AML procedures
  5. Detail-focused, works independently to deadlines and has a strong team ethic
  6. Additional European language skills would be advantageous
