Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Cutover Consultant to lead cutover planning and execution for a large-scale SAP transformation within a global manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered multiple end-to-end SAP cutovers, preferably within the semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industry.

This role requires hands-on ownership of cutover plans, mock rehearsals, production deployment, and post-go-live stabilization, working closely with business, functional, technical, and implementation partner teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the integrated cutover plan, including detailed tasks, dependencies, owners, timelines, checkpoints, and contingency procedures.
  • Lead mock cutovers and dress rehearsals, identify execution gaps, and refine the final production cutover runbook.
  • Coordinate cutover activities across SAP manufacturing, procurement, inventory, order management, logistics, and finance workstreams.
  • Work with SAP functional, Basis, security, integration, and data migration teams to sequence transports, data loads, access readiness, interface transitions, and batch jobs.
  • Coordinate manufacturing readiness, including production orders, work-in-process, inventory balances, material master data, BOMs, routings, and open transactions.
  • Manage dependencies between SAP and connected manufacturing execution systems, warehouse platforms, supplier/customer interfaces, and other enterprise applications.
  • Define business freeze windows, reconciliation checkpoints, go/no-go criteria, rollback plans, and business validation requirements.
  • Run cutover command-center meetings, track execution against the plan, and escalate risks or delays affecting go-live.
  • Partner with plant and supply chain teams to minimize disruption to manufacturing, procurement, shipping, and financial operations.
  • Support hypercare, issue triage, business sign-offs, and transition to production support.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong SAP implementation and deployment experience, with hands-on responsibility for multiple successful production cutovers.
  • Experience managing cutovers for SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or large-scale rollouts.
  • Ability to independently build and execute detailed cutover plans across business and technical workstreams.
  • Understanding of dependencies across SAP PP, MM, SD, FI/CO, and warehouse/logistics processes.
  • Experience coordinating data migration, reconciliation, interface readiness, technical deployment, and business validation.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production planning, inventory movements, work-in-process, and order fulfillment.
  • Experience managing critical-path activities, go-live risks, and time-sensitive escalations across global teams.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, documentation, and execution management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing industry experience, particularly semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Experience with SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA transitions and familiarity with RISE with SAP environments.
  • Exposure to MES/shop-floor integrations, batch or lot traceability, subcontracting, and outsourced manufacturing.
  • Experience delivering multi-site or global deployments with tightly controlled downtime windows.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on cutover specialist who can explain their role in multiple SAP go-lives, the complexity of the manufacturing environments involved, and how they managed rehearsals, dependencies, production readiness, and go-live issues.
