MTrec Recruitment have partnered with our new, industry-leading, and prestigious manufacturing client in their search for an experienced maintenance engineer.

The role will involve working the following shift patterns, with overtime available:

  • 06:00–14:00, Monday to Friday
  • 14:00–22:00, Sunday to Thursday
  • 22:00–06:00, Sunday to Thursday

The Job You Will Do:

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
  • Supporting equipment installations and modifications.
  • Contributing to engineering improvements and reliability initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and production teams.
  • Maintaining a high standard of health, safety and housekeeping.

About you:

  • Experience maintaining and fault-finding industrial production equipment.
  • Experience working with electrical systems and equipment up to 415V.
  • Good knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes and drive systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small engineering team.
  • Experience managing a varied workload across planned maintenance, projects, installations and breakdowns.
  • Ideally apprentice-trained or holding relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.
  • Computer literate.
  • 18th Edition advantageous; training can be provided.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional and technical development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work proactively.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good planning and organisational abilities.
  • Flexible, practical and hands-on approach to engineering
