Azure Security Engineer - MDE Administrator

job summary:

We are seeking a Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) Administrator to join an enterprise security operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting infrastructure through advanced threat detection, endpoint management, and incident response.

responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Servers.
• Investigate and remediate security threats, alerts, and endpoint vulnerabilities.
• Conduct threat hunting and enforce endpoint security and compliance policies.
• Automate daily security tasks using PowerShell scripting and align work with ITIL processes.

qualifications:

5+ years of experience in security operations, cloud, or infrastructure security.

Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Defender for Servers.

Proven track record in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Windows Security Administration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Microsoft Security Certifications (SC-200, AZ-500, or SC-100).

Experience in managed services or enterprise regulated environments.

Practical understanding of ITIL frameworks.
