Job Description

Selmet is seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead HR operations in a precision manufacturing environment supporting aerospace and defense production teams. This role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and safety policies. The HR Manager will partner with leadership to drive training, development, and succession planning, support continuous improvement and Lean culture, and manage benefits and HRIS data. This position also coordinates investigations, corrective actions, and policy updates to maintain a high-performance, team-oriented, and safety-focused workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for manufacturing and support roles
  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and investigations
  • Administer performance management, goal setting, and development planning processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, including safety and labor regulations
  • Oversee benefits administration, HRIS data accuracy, and HR reporting
  • Support training, skills development, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures
