They are seeking a talented engineer to contribute to the advancement of submarine technology, working with key program offices to deliver innovative solutions. This is an opportunity to join a professional team dedicated to excellence in naval engineering. The Role • Provide essential support to multiple Submarine Shipbuilding Program Offices, including COLUMBIA Class, VIRGINIA Class, and SSN(X) programs, as well as the Marine Engineering Competency Domain. • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to develop cost-effective technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. • Contribute to the design of products and machinery, and explore improved methods for material extraction, processing, and utilization. • Analyze the environmental and user impact of developed products and engineered systems. • Oversee testing and production processes, diagnose equipment failures, and ensure product quality through rigorous testing. • Estimate project timelines and associated costs. What You'll Need • A Master's degree in any technical or engineering discipline. • A minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience. • Demonstrated experience in the design, testing, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment. • In-depth knowledge and experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. • Experience with large electrical machines and/or power electronics. • Must possess a U.S. security clearance.
