Job Description

Test Equipment Engineer – Hardware Design | Portsmouth, United Kingdom | Hybrid | Up to £50,000

The Role

  • Deliver comprehensive engineering support for critical test equipment.
  • Maintain high levels of equipment availability and drive improvements.
  • Design and implement new electrical hardware, both on-site and at customer locations.
  • Lead development activities, including producing design schemes, circuit diagrams, and documentation.
  • Compile and approve engineering designs, changes, and concession actions.
  • Take ownership of in-service support and test equipment selections.

What You'll Need

  • HNC/HND/Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proven background in test equipment and hardware design.
  • Experience in the repair and investigation of test equipment.
  • Understanding and ability to create technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to diagnose complex Special to Type Test Equipment to component level.
  • Familiarity with design and safety standards.
