Lab Technician Analyst

Title: Lab Technician
Duration: 12-month contracts, possible conversion to FTE
Location: Austin, TX
Pay range:$45-$50

Summary

• Client is seeking a Lab Technician to support networking, RF, power, rack infrastructure, and test environments in a technical laboratory setting in Austin, TX.


• This is a hands-on, 5-days-per-week on-site role focused on maintaining lab infrastructure, supporting engineering teams, operating test and measurement equipment, and troubleshooting hardware and network issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot networking equipment, racks, power systems, and lab hardware.


• Perform rack-and-stack activities, equipment installation, cabling, labeling, and hardware moves.


• Support RF testing and lab activities, including RF equipment setup and troubleshooting.


• Work with test and measurement equipment and vendors to support lab operations.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience working in a technical lab, data center, network lab, or hardware environment.


• Basic understanding of networking and Ethernet.


• Experience with racks, cabling, hardware installation, and equipment maintenance.


• Familiarity with power distribution and electrical safety in equipment/lab environments.


• Basic understanding of RF concepts and RF equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting RF, wireless, networking, or hardware labs.


• Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, or similar equipment.
