Job Description

Title: Electronics Test Technician
Location: 1710 N University Drive, Plantation, FL 33322
Duration: 6-12 months contract
Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Possible overtime Saturday & Sunday
Interview Process: 1 Onsite & 1 Virtual
Training: 6 weeks

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician to join the dynamic Product Quality Engineering (PQE) & Automated Test Engineering (ATE) team in Plantation, FL. The technician will support multi-technology testing applications, including wireless, RF, batteries, and digital systems, during Enhanced Advanced Life Testing (eALT) and RF/Digital Automated Tests.

Must-Have Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing, lab environments, or manufacturing quality control.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical circuits, soldering, and electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow strict test procedures and accurately record test data.

Responsibilities:

  • Run Tests: Operate thermal test chambers, vibration tables, and electrical stress equipment.
  • Monitor Equipment: Monitor real-time data to identify failures or performance degradation.
  • Build Test Setups: Wire circuit boards, connect sensors, and use data loggers.
  • Record Data: Generate clear test reports and document failure times and conditions.
  • Soldering & Repair: Perform PCB soldering, repairs, and test equipment repair.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits, test setups, and equipment issues.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical, documentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent observation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, test procedures, and written standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Environment: Office/Lab environment.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
  • Kneel or squat to access lower shelves.
  • Walk/move throughout the labs.
  • Stand for moderate periods of time.

Key Contributions: Run tests, perform solder repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and set up equipment for testing.
Software Proficiency: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc.
Lifting Requirements: Up to 30 lbs.
