Job Title: Sr. Program Manager/Program Lead

Location: Ridgefield, CT

Duration: 6 Months

W2 Only

Duties:

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager/Program Lead (consultant) to drive a large-scale, high-visibility digital transformation program in clinical development: building and scaling a data-driven platform that enables in-silico scenario planning to transform how clinical development decisions are made. This is not a portfolio oversight role – you will own the delivery of a single flagship initiative spanning multiple workstreams, technology platforms, and business functions.

Success in this role depends on close cross-team partnership – above all with IT and Medicine. Working hand-in-hand with the Business Owner/Business Program Lead, you will be the connective tissue between clinical development and medical leaders, IT and engineering teams, data science and quantitative modeling groups, and external partners: setting the delivery rhythm, driving decisions, resolving cross-workstream dependencies, and keeping senior leadership aligned and confident. Prior hands-on experience managing large technology programs with cross-functional teams in a pharmaceutical environment is essential – you should be able to point to a specific program you led, what you delivered, and how you navigated the complexity.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a large digital transformation program in clinical development – from mobilization and roadmap definition through platform build, rollout, adoption, and value realization.
  • Work closely with the Business Owner / Business Program Lead as a delivery partner – jointly shaping priorities, aligning the program plan to business objectives, preparing for governance forums, and presenting a unified voice to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Build and sustain deep working partnerships with IT and Medicine as the two critical delivery partners – aligning IT architecture, engineering, and platform decisions with the scientific and clinical needs of Medicine, and ensuring both sides operate from one integrated plan.
  • Work closely and Manage a cross-functional program team spanning Medicine/clinical development, IT/engineering, data science, quality/compliance, and external vendors or system integrators.
  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies, integrated planning, and sequencing across platform and technology delivery, data integration, process change, and adoption/change management.
  • Translate between scientific, clinical, and technical stakeholders – ensuring, clinical requirements, technology and engineering realities converge into deliverable scope and realistic timelines.
  • Partner with product owners and technology leads on scope, prioritization, and trade-off decisions; protect delivery against scope creep and competing agendas.
  • Develop executive-level strategic presentations and leadership narratives that align stakeholders around the transformation vision, strategic priorities, and roadmap decisions – and advance the program agenda with senior leadership.
  • Translate ongoing program deliverables, into clear, concise, and visually compelling materials that support strategic decision-making and influence executive audiences.
  • Own program governance: run steering committees, manage the integrated risk/issue/dependency log, drive escalations to resolution, and ensure transparent status reporting.
