Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst – Transportation & Shipment Visibility
 
Location: New York, NY

Position Summary
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Business Analyst support our transportation and supply chain systems. In this role, you will analyze logistics workflows, gather requirements for shipment visibility platforms, and drive project execution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Agile frameworks (acting as a Scrum Master or Agile Facilitator) and hands-on experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Business & Functional Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document functional/technical requirements for supply chain, logistics, and transportation visibility solutions.
  • Agile Leadership: Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives) to ensure smooth delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • UAT & Testing Management: Define test strategies, author detailed UAT test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing sessions with stakeholders, and manage defect resolution through final sign-off.
  • Transportation & Supply Chain Visibility: Partner with end clients and logistics operations to optimize real-time tracking, shipment status workflows, and carrier data integration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, external partners, and technical delivery teams to align priorities and clear project roadblocks.

Required Qualifications & Skills
 
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst within supply chain, transportation, or logistics domains.
  • Agile/Scrum Expertise: Proven track record working as an 3-5 years experience with Agile scrum master managing sprint backlogs and user stories.
  • Testing Proficiency: Strong experience creating, executing, and managing UAT cycles for complex enterprise applications.
  • Technical & Analytical Aptitude: Ability to map end-to-end logistics processes, map data flows, and analyze shipment visibility metrics.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably with executive stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Prior experience with enterprise transportation management systems (TMS) or real-time visibility platforms (e.g., Project44, FourKites).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
