Lab Technician

• 1-3 years overall experience.
• Must have experience connecting devices to firewall
• Some experience working in Lab working with multiple (10-15) racks OR working in a data center environment
• Rack n Stack First start working with inventory.
• Capturing serial numbers from one end of the cable to the other end.
• Attention to details and documentation before moving on to any other task such as ticketing system etc
• Physical cabling, Rack n stack Switches mounting to get the devices/console up.
• Know basic command lines.

Qualified candidates will be proficient in Basic Network administration, Rack and Stack, Network cabling and updating documentation. You must be self-motivated, articulate and organized. You have a talent for finding and resolving issues before they become larger problems. Prefer candidates with experience in a support or engineering network lab or Data Center Environment.Responsibilities:Typical job responsibilities will include: Enable remote access to lab services for end users via SSL VPN and RDP/VNC/View Client. Rack and stack of equipment in the lab Organization of the lab and keeping the lab clean in a presentable state. Being able to identify different cables connection within the lab and identify their correct use. Auditing of physical and virtual devices including connection / Serial Numbers/ and IP Address Maintaining and updating documentation Acting as a ticket queue lead to monitor ticket queue and re-distribute tickets to other team members or groups within PANW. Getting familiarized with the ticket queue incoming requests and updates from user and being able to re-assign or update those tickets daily. Cabling up network topologies based on Engineers and Lab Admin requests. Monitoring Power and Cooling usage within the lab.
