JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior .NET Accessibility Engineer with strong hands-on experience developing and modernizing enterprise C#/.NET applications while implementing WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA and Section 508 accessibility requirements.

The role combines senior .NET / ASP.NET Core development, modern JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, web accessibility auditing and remediation, accessible PDF development, and CI/CD engineering. The successful candidate will work directly within legacy enterprise applications, identify accessibility issues, implement code-level fixes, and develop accessible PDF reporting solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise web applications using C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Telerik, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Analyze application code and front-end interfaces for accessibility issues and implement code-level remediation.
• Conduct accessibility audits and remediation activities aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA, WAI-ARIA, and Section 508 requirements.
• Work with accessibility testing technologies including NVDA and WAVE, along with AI-assisted auditing and engineering tools.
• Apply semantic HTML5, modern CSS, responsive design, and web standards to improve accessible user interfaces.
• Review legacy PDF reporting code and develop accessible PDF output within .NET workflows.
• Implement accessible PDF structures including tag trees, alternative text, reading order, and table headers.
• Use GitHub Enterprise Cloud Copilot and Anthropic Claude to support accessibility auditing, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.
• Configure and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure Pipelines.
• Follow established Git workflows and release-engineering practices.
• Apply cross-browser performance and responsive-design practices to enterprise web applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience with .NET / .NET Core.
• 8+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core, MVC/Razor/Web API, and C# enterprise development patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript ES6+, CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, CSS Variables, SCSS, and semantic HTML5.
• Strong knowledge of W3C web standards, responsive design, and cross-browser performance optimization.
• Expert-level knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA, WAI-ARIA authoring practices, and Section 508 compliance.
• Hands-on experience developing accessible PDF output using .NET PDF libraries, including tagged PDFs, tag structures, alternative text, reading order, and table headers.
• Experience testing accessibility using NVDA and WAVE, as well as the AI-assisted tools identified for the project.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud Copilot and Anthropic Claude, including Claude Code, API, or enterprise interfaces.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, pipeline configuration, GitHub Actions and/or Azure Pipelines, Git workflows, and release engineering.
