Job Overview:

The IT Sourcing Consultant will lead the sole sourcing process. This includes ensuring all required forms and documents for a sole-sourced cloud-hosted system are completed, evaluating proposals, executing agreed-upon negotiation strategies with suppliers, leading evaluation and execution of risk mitigation strategies, establishing solid contracts that are in the long-term best interest of the customer, managing customer expectations for project deliverables through effective and timely communications, and conducting post-project lessons learned reviews with customers to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.

• The IT Sourcing Consultant is needed for the organization as they pursue a sole-source licensing and enforcement system. The role requires the ability to work independently on tasks while leading the team to success.
• This role functions to lead the sole-sourcing process. This includes ensuring all the required forms and documents for a sole-sourced cloud-hosted system are completed.
• The candidate evaluates proposals and executes the agreed-upon negotiation strategy with selected suppliers. The candidate leads evaluation and execution of risk mitigation strategies and establishes solid contracts that are in the long-term best interest of the customer.
• The candidate has responsibility for managing customer expectations for project deliverables through effective and timely communications. The candidate conducts post-project lessons learned reviews with the customers to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a sole-sourced procurement process by working with the internal team, cloud solutions, the project management office, and the vendor.
• Ensuring the requirements are understood to negotiate a fair-priced contract with clear deliverables.

Required:

• Deep industry experience within procurement and supplier management (8+ years), including cloud solutions.
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiation (8+ years).
• Technical writing and requirements gathering (8+ years).

Desired:

• Knowledge of public procurement laws.
• Knowledge of cloud-hosted security protocols and requirements.
