Project Manager - Intermediate / Workforce Data Analyst



Location: Cranston, RI - Hybrid

Work Schedule: 3 days onsite one week and 2 days onsite the following week

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workforce Data Analyst to support workforce initiatives under a federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

This role will perform professional-level analytical work involving data collection, management, validation, analysis, visualization, reporting, and performance monitoring. The selected candidate will integrate workforce data and findings across multiple initiatives and translate analytical results into actionable insights supporting program implementation, evaluation, workforce planning, and overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data collection, tracking, reporting, and visualization systems for workforce initiatives.
  • Collect, organize, validate, analyze, and integrate data across multiple workforce projects.
  • Establish and maintain data definitions, performance measures, reporting standards, and data-quality processes.
  • Analyze workforce data related to training, education, healthcare workforce development, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
  • Support the identification and qualification of rural and rural-serving healthcare providers and monitor related initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, presentations, visualizations, and analytical products for program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights supporting program design, implementation, evaluation, and workforce strategy.
  • Support federal grant reporting, performance monitoring, program evaluation, and applicable state and federal data requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subrecipients, grantees, vendors, healthcare providers, educational institutions, employers, and other partners.
  • Ensure workforce data is complete, accurate, consistent, timely, and properly documented.
  • Research and incorporate relevant healthcare, workforce, education, demographic, geographic, and labor-market data.
  • Coordinate workforce data activities with broader health workforce and healthcare system planning initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and follow applicable confidentiality, data governance, and records-management requirements.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Understanding of federal grant reporting and performance-monitoring requirements.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, data visualization platforms, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to integrate information from multiple sources and identify trends, patterns, and performance indicators.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical data findings clearly to program and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, employers, vendors, and community partners.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Rhode Island administrative data, reporting processes, and data systems.
  • Knowledge of Rhode Island s healthcare, workforce, education, demographic, geographic, and public-sector environment.
  • Experience supporting federal or state-funded programs and grants.
  • Experience with healthcare workforce analytics, workforce development, or public-sector data analysis.
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance reports, and data visualizations.
