Job Description

Position: Graph Database DBA

12 months Contract

Remote

Must-Have Skills

Graph Database Expertise –
Hands-on experience with any of the leading graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB Graph, or similar).
Strong understanding of graph data models, nodes, edges, and properties.
Query Languages - Proficiency in Cypher (Neo4j), Gremlin, or SPARQL for querying and managing graph data.

Database Administration

Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of graph databases.
Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for graph DB environments.
Performance tuning and optimization of graph queries and database operations.
Security & Compliance - Implementing role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and auditing in graph DB environments.
Data Integration - Ability to design and manage ETL processes for loading data into graph databases from relational or other sources.
Monitoring & Maintenance - Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques for graph DB health, performance, and capacity planning.
Scripting & Automation - Strong skills in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation of DBA tasks.
OS & Cloud Knowledge - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) hosting graph databases.

Good-to-Have Skills

Multi-Model Database Knowledge - Exposure to relational, document, and key-value databases for hybrid solutions.
Graph Analytics - Understanding of graph algorithms (PageRank, shortest path, community detection) and their applications.
DevOps & CI/CD - Experience integrating graph DB deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
Data Modeling & Design - Ability to design efficient graph schemas for complex business domains.
Visualization Tools - Familiarity with graph visualization tools (Bloom, Gephi, or similar).
Programming - Experience with Java or .NET for building applications that interact with graph databases.
Certifications- Neo4j Certified Professional or equivalent credentials.
