Director of Finance & Administration
. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Finance & Administration serves as a trusted strategic partner and organizational leader.
This role oversees the organization's finance and administrative functions, ensuring the infrastructure, systems, and resources necessary to support continued growth and mission success are in place and operating smoothly. Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and directors team, you will help translate organizational priorities into operational excellence, strengthen organizational capacity, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Lead the organization's financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes. Ensure financial resources are strategically aligned with organizational priorities and mission outcomes. Provide clear, data-informed analysis and recommendations that support effective decision-making across the organization.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director, senior directors team, and Board of Directors. Act as the primary staff liaison to the Finance and Audit Committees, preparing and presenting timely, accurate financial reports and insights. Building Operational Excellence
Design, implement, and continuously improve systems, policies, and processes that increase efficiency, accountability, and collaboration. Oversee finance, administration, and information technology functions to ensure they are integrated, scalable, and positioned for future growth.
Strengthen internal controls, risk management practices, and information systems that support informed decision-making and organizational effectiveness. Manage key relationships with auditors, financial institutions, insurance providers, technology partners, and other vendors. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and operations team. Establish clear goals, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and support professional development across the team. Contribute as an active and collaborative member of the senior team, helping shape organization-wide strategy and priorities.
Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of five years of professional experience in nonprofit finance and accounting. Demonstrated success in nonprofit financial management, preferably within organizations or business units with annual revenue between $1 million and $5 million. Experience overseeing audits, compliance requirements, and organizational budgeting processes. Strong technology aptitude, including experience evaluating, implementing, and managing software systems and vendor relationships.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to audiences with varying levels of financial expertise, including senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders. Experience managing federal grants and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Medical insurance plan - employer paid 100%
