Play a key role in a program making a difference.
Looking for a role where every day is different and your work helps create meaningful outcomes behind the scenes?
Join Better Connect and be part of a collaborative program bringing partners, stakeholders and communities together to strengthen how Mental Health and AOD services are connected and coordinated across Queensland.
As our Senior Administration Officer, you’ll be at the heart of the program, working closely with the Director and Leadership Team to coordinate governance, projects, stakeholder engagement and day-to-day operations. You’ll help keep priorities moving, turn decisions into action and create the structure that enables the wider team to deliver.
This is a highly varied role for someone who enjoys building relationships, bringing order to competing priorities and being the person others can rely on to keep things moving.
Your role, your impact
As the central coordination point for Better Connect, you'll help ensure decisions are implemented, priorities stay on track and key stakeholders remain connected. Your work will enable leaders to focus on strategic outcomes while you support the systems, processes and coordination that bring those outcomes to life.
You will:
- Coordinate governance meetings, committees and stakeholder activities across a diverse consortium
- Create reports, presentations, agendas and communications that support informed decision-making
- Manage program workplans, reporting trackers and action registers to keep priorities on track
- Build strong relationships with consortium partners and stakeholders across Queensland
- Lead coordination of meetings, schedules and program activities across multiple workstreams
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects from planning through to implementation
- Maintain key program systems, records and documentation to support quality and compliance
- Monitor deadlines, commitments and deliverables to ensure momentum is maintained
- Identify opportunities, solve problems and respond to emerging priorities in a dynamic environment
About you
You’re organised, proactive and adaptable, with a genuine ability to keep multiple priorities moving while building strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in a senior administration, executive support, office coordination or project support role
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating governance committees including drafting agendas, minutes and papers
- Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience coordinating meetings, projects and stakeholder activities
- Confidence working autonomously while collaborating with others
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
- Sound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
What will make you stand out?
- Experience supporting senior leaders within a complex organisation
- Experience coordinating governance, boards, committees or consortium activities
- Experience within healthcare, community services or the not-for-profit sector
What's in it for you?
