Senior Mechanical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship MEP project in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Mechanical Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering large-scale mechanical building services projects and leading high-performing teams through every stage of the construction lifecycle.
As the Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the mechanical package on a high-value development, overseeing all aspects of project delivery from pre-construction and procurement through to commissioning, client handover, and final completion. You will play a key leadership role, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for a commercially aware Mechanical Project Manager who thrives on leading complex MEP projects, building strong client relationships, and driving successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the mechanical package on a major MEP project in West London.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, providing clear direction and ensuring high levels of performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover to ensure a seamless delivery process.
- Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones and completion dates are achieved.
- Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain programme and quality standards.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, variations, and commercial performance to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, acting as the lead contact for all mechanical matters.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimise delays and maintain programme.
- Ensure all mechanical works are delivered in accordance with health and safety legislation, technical specifications, and industry best practice.
- Produce regular progress reports and provide clear updates to senior management and the client team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience as a Mechanical Project Manager delivering large-scale mechanical building services or MEP projects.
- A proven track record of successfully leading major mechanical packages from pre-construction through to final handover.
- Strong leadership experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders on complex construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, public health, and associated MEP systems.
- A consistent record of delivering projects to challenging programmes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, cost control, and contractual obligations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and other relevant industry certifications are desirable.
- Lead the mechanical delivery of a landmark MEP project in West London.
