Assistant Project Manager Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk<br />Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Car + Package<br />Start Date:

Within 2 Weeks The Opportunity An established and highly respected main contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join its successful team delivering a programme of minor works and refurbishment projects across a national retail portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to progress their career within a business renowned for delivering high-quality projects across commercial, retail and public sector environments.

Working closely with experienced Project Managers, you will assist in the delivery of multiple live projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities Assist in managing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.<br />Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project delivery.<br />Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.<br />Monitor programme, progress and project costs.<br />Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with current HSE legislation.<br />Attend site meetings and produce progress reports.<br />Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders.<br />Assist with procurement of subcontract packages and materials.<br />Manage project documentation and reporting.<br />Monitor quality standards and oversee snagging processes.<br />Help identify and manage project risks.<br />Support commercial teams with variations and valuations where required.<br />Ensure projects are handed over on time with all required documentation.Requirements Experience working within a UK main contractor.<br />Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Contracts Manager, Project Coordinator or Site Manager looking to move into project management.<br />Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or minor works projects.<br />Retail project experience is advantageous.<br />Good understanding of construction processes.<br />Strong organisational and communication skills.<br />Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.<br />Commercial awareness.<br />Proficient with Microsoft Office.<br />Full UK Driving Licence.Desirable Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or similar.<br />SMSTS or SSSTS.<br />CSCS Card.<br />First Aid.<br />Knowledge of JCT Contracts.Package £40,000 - £45,000 Basic<br />Company Car<br />Pension<br />Annual Leave<br />Career Progression<br />Long-term Stable Work<br />Supportive Team Environment
