Technical Project Manager II

Location: Hybrid 4x Onsite Weekly, Mount Laurel, NJ

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Available on W2

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager II to lead and deliver complex IT initiatives in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for managing large-scale programs consisting of multiple concurrent projects, driving Agile best practices, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Agile project management, Scrum leadership, stakeholder communication, and enterprise program delivery, along with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex, enterprise-scale IT programs and projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Lead Agile teams and promote Scrum principles, values, and best practices.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master and Agile leader, coaching teams on Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Track and report project KPIs, risks, dependencies, and overall program health.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with business goals, priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple engineering, development, and business teams.
  • Communicate project strategy, status updates, risks, and changes to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Identify delivery risks and drive mitigation strategies to support successful outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership teams to prioritize technology initiatives and maximize business value.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering, deployment, and operational teams to improve solution delivery and sustainability.
  • Monitor project portfolios and recommend adjustments to scope, timing, resources, or budgets as needed.


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in an Agile environment.
  • Current Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience serving as a Scrum Master and leading Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and delivery milestones.
  • Experience coordinating and driving rapid application and code upgrade initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Experience managing security vulnerability remediation efforts and accelerated software release schedules.
  • Knowledge of software compliance requirements and experience ensuring code revisions align with vendor specifications, standards, and technical requirements.
  • Experience leading or supporting formal Change Management processes, including planning, approvals, communications, and implementation activities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide programs involving code modernization, platform upgrades, or software lifecycle initiatives.
  • Experience overseeing security-focused technology projects, patch management programs, or vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Background working with software engineering, infrastructure, or technical service delivery teams.
  • Experience supporting large-scale organizational or digital transformation initiatives.
