Senior Government Cloud Risk & Compliance Manager

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Risk Manager for its Global Government Delivery Organization to own risk strategy for high-impact government cloud programs. You will identify, assess, and prioritize operational, security, and compliance risks, designing mitigation plans and scalable controls that align with AWS's customer-obsessed, data-driven culture. Partnering with engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams worldwide, you'll monitor key risk indicators, prepare leadership reporting, and support audits and regulatory reviews. This role offers broad ownership, exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies, and the chance to influence how governments securely adopt AWS at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management strategy for global government delivery programs on AWSIdentify, assess, and prioritize operational, security, and compliance risks
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and control frameworks
• Partner with engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams to embed risk best practices
• Monitor key risk indicators and report on trends to senior leadership
• Drive continuous improvement of risk processes, tools, and documentation
• Support audits, certifications, and regulatory reviews for government customers
• Provide guidance and training on risk policies and standards to global delivery teams
