Mobility Grants Compliance Officer

Utah Transit Authority seeks a Mobility Grants Compliance Officer to manage regulatory, financial, and reporting requirements for mobility-related grants. In this role, you'll oversee federal, state, and local transit funding, interpret FTA and related regulations, and ensure accurate budgeting, documentation, and audit-ready records. You'll coordinate with finance, legal, and operations, lead compliance reviews, support audits, and train staff on grant requirements. This hybrid position blends analytical work with mission-driven impact, helping UTA deliver safe, reliable, and equitable mobility along the Wasatch Front.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal, state, and local transit grant compliance for UTA mobility programs
• Monitor and interpret transportation funding regulations and guidelines (FTA and related agencies)
• Prepare and submit grant applications, progress reports, and closeout documentation
• Coordinate with finance, legal, and operations to ensure proper grant budgeting and cost tracking
• Conduct internal compliance reviews and risk assessments related to grant-funded projects
• Maintain accurate grant records, documentation, and audit-ready files
• Develop and deliver training on grant compliance requirements to project and program staff
• Support audits and respond to inquiries from funding agencies and external reviewers
• Track grant performance metrics and prepare data-driven compliance and performance reports
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and ensure timely, compliant use of funds
