Role and Responsibilities

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will build robust, scalable automation frameworks that ensure our products remain high-quality and reliable. The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) moves beyond basic script recording and is comfortable writing clean, maintainable C# code. The Software Development Engineer in Test will leverage Playwright to create modern end-to-end test suites that move at the speed of our CI/CD pipeline. The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is expected to perform these and additional duties and responsibilities professionally and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of Liviniti:

Framework Development: Develop and maintain automated test frameworks from scratch using C# and Playwright. Test Strategy: Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify high-risk areas and define automation coverage for web applications and APIs. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated suites into Azure pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and "shift-left" practices. Code Reviews: Participate in PR reviews for both application and test code, ensuring adherence to SOLID principles and clean code standards. Debugging & Reporting: Root cause analysis of flaky tests and production defects, providing detailed technical reports and metrics to stakeholders.Ability to communicate QA status, progress, and risks to managementAdvise team on project status and opportunities for improvementAbide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI) If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources. Required Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes3-5 years of professional experience in software testing or development . Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Core/6+ ecosystem.Proven experience using Playwright (preferred) or Selenium for cross-browser testing.Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like RestSharp or Playwright's native API testing capabilities.Ability to write SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform test data setupExpert knowledge of Git (branching, merging, rebasing).Snowflake experienceMicrosoft TeamsFlow charts such as Lucid ChartsUnderstanding and some experience in FigmaFind cost-effective solutions to improve monthly QA effortsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentAbility to troubleshoot problems in unknown situations and provide effective feedback on a path forwardAbility to work independently and make logical business decisions given general guidanceAbility to consolidate ideas and collaborate with cross-functional working groupsAbility to communicate at all management levels within an organization, including internal, customers, vendors, and business partners.Industry certifications in QA or testing (e.g., ISTQB certification).Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Full-time/Salaried/Exempt.Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT. We cover clients in all 50 states; work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant to industry demands. Travel

This position will require minimal travel.

Required Education and Experience 3-6 years of software quality assurance experience as SDET4 years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance setting, preferred Preferred Education and Experience Direct experience in the healthcare finance field, especially in the management of self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity
