Job Description
Instructional Designer II
The Sr. Learning Specialist (Level II) is responsible for designing and developing complex training materials and programs that incorporate multiple learning methods, including blended learning, eLearning, and microlearning. In addition to facilitation, this role emphasizes instructional design, training evaluation, and project management. The Sr. Learning Specialist plays a key role in advancing organizational learning effectiveness and mentoring others.

The manager may ask candidates to submit to a 15-minute demo/facilitation to observe their training on a case by case basis.
Design and develop complex instructional materials and resources, incorporating a variety of learning methods (e.g., blended learning, microlearning).
Facilitate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and learning labs for diverse audiences.
Assist the Training Program Manager with training projects from conception to completion, ensuring efficient delivery and alignment with organizational learning goals
Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Bachelor s Degree or a combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated expertise with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning).
Experience applying learning evaluation methods (e.g., surveys, assessments, performance metrics) to measure training effectiveness and make recommendations.
Strong portfolio of learning materials created using eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar).
Previous experience mentoring or coaching other trainers or learning professionals preferred.
Advanced facilitation and presentation skills, with ability to engage all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills to assess learner needs, evaluate outcomes, and recommend improvements.
Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) administration and reporting.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality learning solutions on time.
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end training programs, including needs assessment, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, communication, and post-training evaluation.
