Product Owner – Supplier Management Platform Modernization

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the modernization of a supplier management and screening solution by transitioning from a custom, homegrown system to a modern Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) platform.

The Product Owner will define the product vision and roadmap, manage the product backlog, prioritize business requirements, and work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, IT, and technical teams to deliver effective supplier lifecycle management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and backlog for the supplier management platform modernization.

• Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements.

• Define and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and product acceptance activities.

• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, implementation partners, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Drive standardization of supplier management processes while accommodating global and regional business requirements.

• Define and track KPIs, success metrics, and business outcomes related to supplier onboarding, qualification, risk management, compliance, and supplier performance.

• Support system testing, UAT, training, change management, deployment, and post-implementation activities.

• Ensure the product aligns with enterprise architecture, data governance, security, and compliance requirements.

• Facilitate communication and decision-making across business and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of overall professional experience.

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Lead Business Analyst, or equivalent role.

• 5+ years of experience working with Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Management, or ERP-related solutions.

• Experience leading enterprise software implementation, modernization, or transformation initiatives using Agile methodologies.

• Strong experience with product backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements prioritization.

• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or other SAFe/Agile certification.

• Experience with Supplier Management, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Qualification, Compliance, or Risk Management solutions.

• Experience with the PROCURE platform is preferred.

• Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as Infor LN/Baan, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.

• Experience working with global supply chain organizations and cross-functional teams.
