Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer – Micro-Segmentation

Location: Remote role

Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

Job Description:

We’re partnering with a direct client to find a Cyber Security Engineer to join their micro-segmentation program. This role will support the continued expansion of enforcement across a large, complex enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

·       Analyze application and infrastructure traffic flows

·       Design, document, and implement micro-segmentation policies

·       Develop and refine enforcement rules in line with organizational standards and industry best practices

·       Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security engineers to understand communication requirements

·       Support migration efforts, including remediating and replacing legacy or overly permissive rules

·       Take part in implementation planning, testing, and change execution

What We’re Looking For

Illumio experience is required, but our primary focus is a strong Cyber Security Engineer with a solid grasp of network security concepts and traffic analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

·       Strong understanding of network communications, application dependencies, and stateful firewall behavior

·       Experience writing and implementing network security policy rules

·       Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

·       Strong collaboration and documentation skills

·       Experience with Illumio or another micro-segmentation platform

·       Background working in large enterprise environments

Qualification Priorities (in order)

1.     Strong Cyber Security Engineering background with networking and firewall expertise

2.     Micro-segmentation experience on any platform

3.     Illumio experience
