Job Description

ServiceNow Architect
Role Summary
The ServiceNow Architect will be responsible for translating business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions. This role provides architectural leadership across ServiceNow modules, ensures adherence to platform best practices and coding standards, and governs solution design for integrations, workflows, and enterprise implementations.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Architecture & Solution Design
  2. • Translate business and functional requirements into end-to-end ServiceNow architectural solutions
  3. • Define solution architecture across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and other ServiceNow modules
  4. • Ensure all development aligns with ServiceNow best practices, platform guidelines, and architectural standards
  5. • Review and approve technical designs to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance
  6.  
  7. Platform Governance & Standards
  8. • Establish and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and design patterns
  9. • Ensure all customizations and configurations go through proper architectural review
  10. • Minimize technical debt and avoid over-customization
  11. • Govern reuse of components, integrations, and workflows
  12.  
  13. Integrations & Automation
  14. • Design and oversee new integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
  15. • Ensure integration architecture follows security, performance, and data integrity standards
  16. • Lead design and optimization of workflows, Flow Designer, and automation frameworks
  17.  
  18. CMDB, ITOM & Data Optimization
  19. • Provide architectural leadership for CMDB design, data modeling, and normalization
  20. • Ensure CMDB compliance, data quality, and alignment with CSDM
  21. • Design and optimize ITOM solutions including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and integrations
  22. • Drive data optimization strategies across ServiceNow modules
  23.  
  24. Delivery & Collaboration
  25. • Work closely with developers, functional consultants, and stakeholders to guide implementation
  26. • Support Agile delivery teams with architectural direction and design decisions
  27. • Review and validate solutions before deployment to production
  28. • Provide technical mentorship to development teams

  30. Required Skills & Experience
  31. • Extensive experience as a ServiceNow Architect
  32. • Strong hands-on experience across ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB
  33. • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and platform capabilities
  34. • Proven experience with:
  35. • Workflow and Flow Designer
  36. • Integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server)
  37. • CMDB, CSDM, data normalization, and reconciliation
  38. • Strong understanding of ServiceNow performance optimization and security
  39. • Ability to define and enforce coding standards and architectural governance

  41. Preferred Qualifications
  42. • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS (ITSM/ITOM)
  43. • Experience in large-scale or enterprise ServiceNow implementations
  44. • Strong communication skills for customer-facing architectural discussions
  45. • Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments
