Job Title: Systems Architect - (VMware, OpenShift, AWS EC2, AWS VPC)
Location: Menands, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension)
Start Date:  10/15 (estimated)
W2 Hourly Rate: $50-$60/hour

Overview:
We are seeking a Systems Architect who will support our NYS client. This onsite role will design, implement, and maintain resilient infrastructure solutions across virtualization, storage, middleware, cloud, backup, monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code environments. The Systems Architect will help ensure technical deliverables, project scope, documentation, availability, and operational reliability are consistently met.

Duties:
  • Design and maintain infrastructure solutions spanning virtualization, storage, middleware, cloud infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Manage and support virtualization platforms and cloud networking environments, including VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, AWS EC2, and AWS VPC.
  • Administer enterprise backup and recovery solutions using Veeam, Veeam Kasten, and AWS Backup solutions.
  • Support highly available infrastructure through load balancing, multi-region data replication, resiliency planning, monitoring, and logging.
  • Collaborate on medium- to large-scale technical projects, ensuring deliverables, project scope, implementation activities, and technical documentation are completed as required.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent from an accredited institution; a copy of the degree must be submitted with the response.
  • 6+ years of experience developing medium- to large-scale technical projects and assuring deliverables and project scope are met and well documented.
  • 6+ years of experience designing infrastructure solutions including virtualization, storage, middleware, and cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code.
  • 6+ years of experience managing virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, AWS EC2, and AWS VPC.
  • 6+ years of experience managing backups using Veeam, Veeam Kasten, and AWS Backup solutions.
  • 6+ years of experience managing highly available infrastructure, including use of load balancers and multi-region data replication.
  • 6+ years of experience performing monitoring and log activities.
