Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer required to work for Principal Contractor on London High Speed Rail Project.
Contract - Inside IR35
Contract to end of June 2027
Various Sites: West Ruislip/South Ruislip/Old Oak Common
Quality Engineer required to Undertake Site Investigations/Inspections. Review Checklists, NCR's , ITP's etc.
Asset Protection.
Quality Experience with experience on similar Civils/Infrastructure Projects required.
Role Brief:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing the independent site inspections and surveillances, liaising with the Client on inspection issues, ensuring the documentation is being produced on time, non-conformances are raised in a timely manner, reviewing documentation and supporting the Quality Manager.
-Be proactive in preventing substandard Works being produced by coaching and providing training.
-Ensure that quality management is given the highest priority in delivery in the delivery of their works to achieve right first time.
-Communicate with delivery team and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of quality assurance requirements.
-Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the Work Information and the supporting documentation is produced.
-Manage and communicate to the Quality Managers any non-conformances.
-Carry out formal surveillances to ensure that inspection and tests are carried out in line with the inspection and test plans, Safe System of Work for the controlling the works and that all necessary documentation is produced in a timely manner.
Experience Required:
-Managed Quality on a relevant project
-Experience within quality related role on a major infrastructure project
-Experience of working on Civil engineering projects.
-Computer competence (MS Word, Excel).
-Relevant CSCS Card.
-On-site training in Quality.
-Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
