Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Continental Shifts

Worcestershire | £49,817

CV Technical are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in the Worcestershire area who are looking to add an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team.

This is a hands-on maintenance position within a busy manufacturing environment, working a continental shift pattern and covering both planned and reactive maintenance across the site.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and site equipment running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding

  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance across production machinery

  • Diagnosing faults and minimising production downtime

  • Working on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps and associated equipment

  • Fault finding on electrical systems, sensors, drives and controls

  • Working with pneumatics and hydraulics

  • Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects

  • Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability

  • Completing maintenance records and reporting issues

  • Working closely with production to maintain output

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures

The Person

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

  • Experience with planned and reactive maintenance

  • A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship

  • Experience working with automated production machinery

  • Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors and drives

  • PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous

  • A proactive approach to breakdowns and preventative maintenance

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
