Import & Trade Compliance Analyst - Defense Manufacturing

SAAB is seeking an Import Analyst to manage and optimize import activities for advanced defense and security products. In this role, you will ensure accurate HS classification, documentation, and compliance with U.S. and international customs and trade regulations. You will coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams to resolve customs issues, minimize delays, and control landed costs. Working in Saab's innovative, mission-driven culture, you will support continuous process improvement, data analysis, and risk mitigation across global supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.
• S. and international import laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Classify products and components using correct HS codes and related trade classifications
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import and customs documentation
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to manage shipments
• Monitor and analyze import costs, duties, and fees to optimize landed cost
• Resolve customs issues, holds, and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering to plan inbound flows
• Maintain and update data in ERP/MRP and trade compliance systems
• Support audits, internal controls, and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Track and report key metrics related to import performance and compliance
