Programme Manager Technology Infrastructure

Location: Birmingham orSheffield (Birmingham preferred) 3 days per week onsite
Rate: £600£650 per day - inside IR35
Contract:Expected initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension

We are currently supporting a major Tier 1 bank with the onboarding of an experienced Programme Manager to lead a significant technology infrastructure programme.

This is a genuine programme-level delivery role requiring an accomplished Programme Manager with a strong track record of leading complex technology change within Tier 1 banking. You will be responsible for coordinating multiple workstreams, driving delivery and managing senior stakeholders across a large and complex organisation.

The programme will include the delivery of a major data centre move, so previous experience of data centre migrations, infrastructure transformation or similarly complex technology programmes would be highly advantageous, although specific data centre experience is not essential.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience operating specifically in a Programme Manager capacity, with end-to-end accountability for complex programmes comprising multiple projects and/or workstreams. This is not a step-up opportunity from Project Management, and we are unable to consider candidates whose experience has been solely at Project Manager/Senior Project Manager level
• Significant Programme Manager experience within a Tier 1 bank / Financial Services
• Strong technology/infrastructure programme delivery experience
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and engage confidently with senior stakeholders
• Strong programme governance, dependency, risk and delivery management capability
• Previous data centre move/migration experience would be advantageous
• Available to start within approximately 4 weeks
• Able to work onsite 3 days per week

Location is a firm requirement for this role. Birmingham is the preferred location, although Sheffield can also be considered. Candidates must currently live within approximately one hour's commute of either Birmingham or Sheffield. Unfortunately, candidates based further afield who would intend to travel or stay overnight for the onsite days cannot be considered.

This opportunity would suit an established Programme Manager accustomed to taking end-to-end accountability for major technology programmes within Tier 1 banking environments.

Rate: £600£650 per day (inside IR35).
