The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Safely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistics and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening (cannabis use strictly prohibited per FRA regulations).
