Job Description

Role-Applinx Web Developer

Location: Jackson-Mississippi 

Job Summary

MDHS is seeking an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to maintain and support ApplinX modernization solutions implemented in the JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications. The consultant will handle maintenance, limited enhancements, testing, implementation, and knowledge transfer to MDHS staff while following ApplinX best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
  • Develop and implement limited enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support testing/deployment.
  • Collaborate with MDHS staff to gather and formulate business requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop well-performing web solutions and support application integration.
  • Work within an Agile development environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Java development experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.
  • Experience with ApplinX Version 11 or later / 11.1.
  • Advanced experience with JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST web services and service-oriented architecture.
  • Linux RHEL 8.10 – Intermediate.
  • Adabas – Intermediate.
  • Application QA/Testing – Advanced.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to develop high-performing websites.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Programming experience in Java or Microsoft .NET.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL Server – Advanced.
  • Jira – Intermediate.
  • Agile – Intermediate.
  • WebLogic experience.
  • Experience with legacy/mainframe modernization, NATAPX, or state government applications.
  • Previous supervisory/leadership or knowledge-transfer experience.
