Our client, Energy Utilities company, specializing in renewable energy production, is actively seeking an accomplished SQL Data Analyst.

Position: Data Analyst/Scientist (Job Id – 26-01207)

Location: New York NY 10003 (HYBRID Onsite - 1-2 days per month)

Duration: 12 months with potential to convert to FTE

• Analyze large utility datasets, including AMI usage, Customer Care & Billing, and customer engagement data, to identify trends, issues, and opportunities. Review and validate data extracts, vendor dashboards, and multi-source data for quality issues, anomalies, patterns, and common themes.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visual summaries to track customer engagement, product performance, billing outcomes, and other key metrics. Support customer-facing digital products, including rate recommendation and bill comparison tools, using historical usage and billing data. Track website and digital product engagement, including page views, clicks, and customer interactions. Work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and business SMEs to support data integrations, testing, validation, and product improvements.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and clearly communicate recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.

MUST HAVE

• AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) data / utility usage data
• Power BI for dashboards, reporting, and data visualization
• Databricks / experience working with large, multi-source datasets
• Utility industry and AMI data experience, with a fundamental understanding of utility customer usage data. Candidates without meaningful AMI/utility experience should not be submitted.
• 2+ years of professional data analysis experience, including the ability to analyze large data extracts/dumps and identify trends, anomalies, common themes, and data quality issues.
• Strong data validation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work in a regulated environment.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to multitask and translate technical findings into clear business recommendations.

NICE TO HAVE

• Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) data/tools experience
• Google Analytics / digital engagement analytics, including page views, clicks, and customer interactions
• Experience developing dashboards, visualizations, recurring reports, and customer-facing digital product analytics
