The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for accurate container stacking, moving, and organization.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks effectively.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays due to operational needs.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
