D2B Groups is seeking a skilled Generator & Switchgear Commissioning Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning processes of generator and switchgear systems at various field locations. You will ensure systems are installed correctly, tested, and fully operational according to project specifications and industry standards. Collaboration with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning is essential. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and hands-on commissioning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site commissioning of generators and switchgear systems in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, functional tests, and performance verifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and startup phases.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and site personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Proven experience in generator and switchgear commissioning in field environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protective relays, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites., up to 75%
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in electrical commissioning.
