We are hiring for a dynamic organization that plays a crucial role in public transportation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of a local branch, ensuring the smooth running of accounting and payroll functions.

The Role

• Ensure accuracy and completion of all accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing, including deductions, taxes, and employee record updates.
• Prepare and submit timely vendor invoices for approval and payment, and post client invoices to the general ledger.
• Assist with account collections, prepare credit/debit memos, and maintain vendor/supplier files.
• Manage petty cash, imprest funds, and process expense reimbursements.
• Prepare journal entries, assist with financial statement preparation, and support budget forecasting.

What You'll Need

• High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework in accounting is a plus.
• 5 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting preferred.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and communicate effectively.
