Overview CONFIGURATION AND DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST LOCATION: El Segundo, CA JOB STATUS: Full-Time
SALARY: $140,000-$160,000 CLEARANCE: Secret CERTIFICATION: TRAVEL: Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration and Data Management Specialist in El Segundo, CA. The Space Access Business Unit supports a contract that provides cradle to grave support to the United States Space Force Space and Systems Command (SSC) Launch Systems Enterprise Directorates National Security Space Launch (NSSL).

We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Space Force/DoD acquisitions processes and regulation for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data.
  • Familiarity with LiveLink document management system.
  • Experience or familiarity with DOD web based data base.
  • Experience with Space Force Launch and Range systems is highly desired.
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams of DOD, USSF, NASA, NRO, and Contractor personnel.
  • Proven ability to work independently without significant oversight and direction and produce on time.
  • Willingness and ability to respond to leadership requests and back up colleagues as required.
  • Ability to work proactively and responsively, identify and address customer concerns rapidly.
  • Ability and willingness to provide Customers and colleagues accepted mentoring on people, processes, and parts, company processes, launch operations, engineering common sense, careers, etc.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, structured Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) on projects, progress, path forward, and include risk assessments and actionable recommendations.
  • Ability and willingness to flex work schedules as required or work from remote locations.
  • Examples of previous work and Personal References highly desired.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize the Launch Enterprise Data Management Program.
  • Review, analyze SSC Launch service contracts and Contract Data Requirements List acquisition processes.
  • Implement data management processes and practice across all SMC/LE Launch Enterprise programs to ensure that all data products and services meet Air Force standards and end-user requirements.
  • Perform data management functions in support of Air Force Launch Enterprise Directorate projects.
  • Implement and help document processes per Space Force expectations.
  • Participate as an Integrated Project Team (IPT) member where data products are contractually invoked.
  • Use the DoD-approved data base to select and provide candidate Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) to project managers in support of CDRLs.
  • Maintain the CDRLs electronic library of all sanctioned and approved CDRLs. Establish and maintain a complete electronic library of all CDRL data submittals by contractors supporting all Launch Enterprise projects. Log data submittals as received. Create and maintain a log and index of all data transactions to enable rapid retrieval when needed.
  • Assist the project manager in implementing CDRL changes as required in the course of the contracts or delivery orders.
  • Collaborate with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors, Launch Sites, and factories.
  • Prepare weekly and other written evaluations and reports of a technical nature as needed. #CJ "Space Warfighting"
