AI Platform Architect

Location: Evanston, IL Salary: $145,000.00 USD Annually - $165,000.00 USD Annually Description:
This is hybrid role in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago in the Evanston area
Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, agents, connectors, and related AI services.
• Establish governance frameworks, operating standards, and best practices for responsible AI adoption.
• Lead tenant-wide architecture for AI integrations across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Purview, and related M365 services.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to implement controls including DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, identity, access management, and risk mitigation.
• Develop AI architecture standards, operational procedures, adoption metrics, dashboards, and support models.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise Microsoft 365 experience with architecture, engineering, or governance responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in M365 services, Entra ID, identity and access management, Microsoft Graph, security, and compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI governance, AI-enabled workflows, and enterprise platform integrations.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, privacy, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, agents, connectors, and APIs.
• Experience governing enterprise AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
• Higher education or research environment experience.
• Microsoft, Azure, or security certifications (Enterprise Administrator, Azure Architect, CISSP, etc.).
