Job Description

Sev1Tech is seeking a Virtualization/Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems. Other duties as assigned by management.

Active Top Secret Level Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems Must have the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual, as applicable. (i.e. CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CISSP, and GSEC) Three (3) years of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.

Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services Windows Server OS Basics: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and/or Server Basic Networking: IP addresses, DNS, and how network issues affect virtual desktops Troubleshooting skills: use log files, event history, and version control to trace issues Equipment installation including superb cable management Available to Travel up to 60 days per year / several week-long trips
